C7 Visit
Welcome to Poland!
Day 1
The project meeting in Warsaw took place from 3 to 7 October 2022 and started at the high school with a workshop on European values. Then all groups of visitors put together a jigsaw puzzle.
The resulting image was of the Castle Square, to which the students then travelled by metro to take part in a street game. The tasks for the international groups were designed so that the pupils learned about the most important section of the Royal Route, important events in Polish history and Poles who have contributed to the development of Europe.
The day ended with a joint lunch at the 'Tastes of Warsaw' restaurant.
Day 2
The following day, the guests learnt more about Poland's and Warsaw's past, as they were invited to a workshop at the Royal Castle entitled 'A Visit to the King'. Then, after a walk through the Old Town, they watched a film about Warsaw before the Second World War. Warsaw delicacies at lunch in the Market Square were the culmination of a day spent together.
Day 3
This was not the end of learning about Poland's complicated history. The next day we explored the situation in Warsaw during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, which made an unforgettable impression on the guests.
The sad atmosphere of the Second World War were somewhat erased by eating traditional dumplings together. The guests could not decide which filling was the tastiest.
We needed a decent meal as we faced preparations and a debate on the thesis “Young people can shape Europe’s future”. Then we discussed possibilities of young people’s role and impact on Europe’s future.
Day 4
The following day, the guests continued to learn about Poland's complex history. This time about multicultural Poland before the Second World War. They visited the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the terrible consequences of intolerance and the importance of fighting for equal rights in Europe today.
Staying still in Polish history, we went to the Wilanów Palace to participate in a cooking workshop. The students enthusiastically prepared Old Polish dishes on their own. Satisfied with cooking together, they returned to school and continued the discussion they had started in Madrid on the problems of Europe that are worth solving nowadays. They discussed details concerning areas: environment, equality of men and women, immigration. At the same time, the teachers had a meeting to plan future meetings and activities.
Day 5
The last mobility meeting day started from the Kahoot game about Poland and Warsaw which was prepared by the youngest Polish project participants.
A workshop in the Central House of Technology „Digital Thinking in Projects” explained how to establish an efficient “FEEL European Company” collaboration. The workshop was very interesting, practically showing how important it is to organize your work well, know your target groups, plan your promotions and divide your tasks within the group.
A walk in the beautiful in Łazienki Park FOTO Wiewiórka and a farewell dinner summed up the project meeting in Warsaw.
